Restaurant Tips
One of the best things about cycling the Golden Mile is the plethora of drinking and dining options along the way. We recommend you plan some stops to refuel and indulge in the local gastronomy. Our insider tip: make sure to reserve a table during the high season. Here are our top restaurant recommendations:
Sea Grill
After a long day of cycling, you deserve a treat. Indulge in an exquisite seafood platter at the upscale Sea Grill, right on the beachfront and also at the grounds of the famous Puente Romano Beach Resort.
Sea Grill stands as a distinct dining experience in Puente Romano, Marbella. It encapsulates the essence of the Mediterranean lifestyle with its interior kissed by sunlight, an expansive terrace deck that offers captivating sea views, and a menu teeming with fresh fish, seafood, meats, salads, and exquisite Spanish rice delicacies. This is a romantic place to enjoy life!
Trocadero Playa & Trocadero Petit Playa
After an invigorating bike ride along the “Milla de Oro”, you will encounter two sister restaurants inviting you with their appealing international cuisine and breathtaking sea views. Whether you are accompanied by loved ones or embarking on a solo journey, these establishments offer the perfect retreat. We have always been captivated by the laid-back atmosphere that surrounds the Golden Mile, creating a sense of home.
Delight your taste buds with their signature dishes, delectable desserts, and colorful cocktails, each suggestion deserving of your attention. The two beach clubs situated here serve as beautiful havens for relaxation, ideal for a delightful lunch or a leisurely drink by the beach. Families are warmly welcomed, and the consistently outstanding service guarantees a satisfying experience for all.
The Trocadero Playa and Trocadero Petit Playa exudes a tropical aura, and the food, lovingly prepared. We’re especially fond of their leisurely lunches and their exceptional cocktails, providing a grand finale to a satisfying ride.
Cappuccino
A visit to Cappuccino Marbella is the ideal start to your day before the bike tour on the Golden Mile, a beachfront sanctuary below Don Pepe Hotel for your morning caffeine fix. Not only are their signature cappuccinos an absolute delight, but their pastries are also irresistibly divine. It’s no wonder this spot has won the hearts of everyone who visits Marbella.
Best known for its luxurious ambiance and soothing background music, Cappuccino Marbella creates a serene atmosphere that effortlessly makes you feel at ease. When it comes to breakfast, they serve a variety of international dishes, including crèpes, yoghurt complemented by fruit or granola, and an assortment of sandwiches.
As the day progresses towards lunch or dinner, Cappuccino Marbella further impresses with a broad selection of tapas. From a refreshing salad crowned with creamy burrata, to nachos and pitas enriched with hummus, they offer a delightful array of options. And if that’s not enough, they extend their culinary expertise to pizzas, pastas, and burgers as well, ensuring there is something for everyone. Truly, Cappuccino Marbella is a culinary paradise that leaves nothing to be desired.
MC Beach
Indulge in luxury and enjoy the best of Mediterranean cuisine while soaking up the sun at MC Beach – the ultimate beach club destination.
From us at LuxuryForSale.Properties, we can’t praise MC Beach enough. A beachside gem nestled within the prestigious Marbella Club Hotel, it’s a spot that captures our hearts every time. Celebrated for their fresh seafood and renowned Paella, it perfectly marries cuisine and ambience.
The laid-back, bohemian atmosphere is enhanced by mesmerizing sea views that rejuvenate your spirit while the cuisine satisfies your hunger. Relax and immerse yourself in the environment, allowing the ocean breeze to envelop you. At MC Beach Marbella, every detail has been considered; all that remains is for you to relish the experience. This location represents our own piece of paradise.
Aüa Playa
We, the team at LuxuryForSale.Properties, personally invite you to indulge in the delights of Aüa Playa – the ultimate beach club and restaurant nestled in the heart of Costa del Sol. Cozily positioned between Marbella and Puerto Banús, this intimate beach club is perfect if you’re seeking a quieter, more tranquil setting.
One of the standout features at Aüa Playa is the live music session held every Friday, which signifies the conclusion of the day at 06:30 PM. It serves as the perfect venue to relax, unwind, and immerse yourself in the calming tunes, all while enjoying our exquisite cuisine and sipping on refreshing drinks.
At Aüa Playa, we take great pride in providing an extraordinary culinary experience that combines international flavors with a touch of local influence. You are in for a delightful experience with our food, which comes highly recommended! Whether you prefer meat or fish, vegetarian options, or have specific dietary requirements such as gluten-free and lactose-free meals, we have something to satisfy every taste.
El Chiringuito Puente Romano
Beach front at Puente Romano Beach Resort lies a delightful retreat that we simply can’t resist – El Chiringuito Marbella. The resort itself is a smorgasbord of experiences with its plethora of restaurants.
However, the highlight at the beach is undoubtedly El Chiringuito. Situated comfortably on the immaculate sands of the Golden Mile, it serves as the perfect stop for us cycling enthusiasts. A word of caution, though; this establishment is quite popular! Therefore, it is advisable to secure a reservation prior to embarking on your cycling journey.
Upon your arrival, be prepared to be enchanted by the stunning beach vistas and the lively atmosphere. Whether you wish to quench your thirst with a refreshing beverage, enjoy a leisurely lunch, or treat yourself to a lavish dinner, El Chiringuito has everything you need. A piece of advice – the culinary delights are as delectable as they come.
One of our absolute favorite activities? Relaxing on their beautiful lounge sets right on the beach after an invigorating ride. There is truly no better way to relax and absorb the coastal ambiance.
La Milla
La Milla truly stands out as one of our personal oases of delightful fish cuisines. As someone deeply enamoured by seafood, La Milla has unfailingly remained our favourite culinary escape. I’ve found that on my adventurous cycling escapades around this beautiful city, it’s essential to carve out time for a rejuvenating stop at La Milla – but do make a reservation to ensure you don’t miss out.
La Milla, which began as a modest ‘chiringuito’, now radiates elegance and sophistication. The fish and seafood dishes offered here draw inspiration from the abundant Andalucian coast, with each plate serving as a testament to the restaurant’s dedication to exceptional quality.
The dining experience at La Milla is further elevated by an impressive collection of over 400 national and international wine selections. Additionally, they provide a variety of champagnes from artisan winemakers, an array of rich and sweet wines, as well as an enticing assortment of classic cocktails and custom creations.
Ultimately, La Milla has secured a special place in our hearts. It is more than just a restaurant; it is a beloved component of the Marbella lifestyle. Therefore, to all fellow culinary enthusiasts and adventurers, let us enjoy the beachfront allure of La Milla and celebrate the enchantment of their exquisite seafood dishes. Bon appétit!
Diblú
If you’re yearning for a tranquil pit-stop that pairs an impressive view with some peace and quiet, then I’d personally recommend Diblú. It’s one of our favourite spots to escape the buzz of the other places we frequent. It’s here where we often find ourselves lost in the flavours of their crisp salads and rejuvenating cocktails.
Diblú is conveniently tucked away on the Paseo Maritimo in Marbella, just a stone’s throw from the Gran Melia Don Pepe Hotel and Cappuccino. The cuisine is a delightful fusion of Peruvian and Mediterranean styles that you can savour in an utterly gorgeous setting, whether it’s for a laid-back drink, a leisurely lunch, or a memorable dinner.
If you’re asking me about my preferred dishes, I can’t help but mention the Crab Tacos, the tangy Lemon Fish ceviche, the indulgent fried soft shell crab, and their uniquely seasoned paellas. But the one that wins our heart every single time is the Turbot Robata, it’s nothing short of fabulous!
Should you be in the company of friends or family, we strongly suggest ordering a few starters to share, followed by individual mains. That way, you’ll get a chance to taste a wide array of dishes and flavours. As for the wine list, it’s an eclectic mix of local and international wines that never fails to impress me.
In our humble opinion, Diblú is the perfect spot for a breather during your bike ride. Trust us, you’re going to love it there!
Camurí Las Cuchís
Nestled in the vibrant locale of the Golden Mile, Camuri Las Cuchis is an idyllic retreat that seamlessly merges the flavours of fusion cuisine with an unrivalled beach club experience. Make sure to try their creative tapas and the traditional gazpacho. This beach club is on the start of the Golden Mile if you are coming from Puerto Banús. They offer restaurant tables, lounge areas and beach beds.
A key attraction of Camuri Las Cuchis is its welcoming environment for families. Children can joyfully play on the secure, sandy beach under the watchful eyes of their parents, while adults unwind on cozy lounge sofas enjoying their preferred beverages, all amidst the stunning vistas of the glistening sea and the marina.
The restaurant’s prime location makes it an ideal pit-stop for those cycling down the coast from Puerto Banús. The marina, known for its luxury yachts, upscale boutiques, and bustling nightlife, is just a quick two-minute bike ride away.
