We enjoy wandering through the delightful streets during the early evening, exploring the quaint boutiques and vintage stores, enjoying a cocktail as we go, and finally, settling down in one of the excellent restaurants for dinner. It embodies the essence of Spain, is wonderfully laid-back, and brims with character — regardless of the season. Whether it is lively and vibrant in the summer or tranquil and romantic in the winter, it consistently feels extraordinary.
This year, make sure you don’t miss La Madrina and La Tienda Casa Curro. These two are absolute wonderful — not just for the food, but for the warm, local vibe that makes you want to stay all night. It’s the kind of experience you remember long after the last bite.

Parque de la Alameda
Where you have driven into the parking garage by car, you can walk up the stairs where you end up in Parque de la Alameda. Avenida del Mar

It is cost-effective and provides ample parking space on level -1. Upon exiting the garage, you will find yourself at the beautiful Avenida del Mar square, which offers breathtaking views of Marbella’s boulevard and beach. Furthermore, this square features several masterpieces by the famous artist Salvador Dalí. Iglesia de la Encarnación
The magnificent Iglesia de la Encarnación is an impressive church from the 16th century and stands as one of Marbella’s most important landmarks.

Situated in Plaza de la Iglesia, the church experienced major renovations in 1712, and its main façade, which was completed in 1756, was crafted by the esteemed artists Pedro del Castillo and Salvador Galvez.
The church comprises three naves that lead to the breathtaking main altar, which houses the Sol Mayor (C Major) organ, regarded as one of the most exquisite organs in Andalusia.
Upon entering the church, visitors are welcomed by a stunning golden high altar.
The interior of the church contains numerous statues that are carried through the streets during Holy Week, including the Virgen de la Soledad (Our Lady of Solitude), among others.
Calle carmen
Situated at the corner near Iglesia de la Encarnación, you will discover Calle Carmen. This street is among the most photographed locations in Marbella’s historic district. Its enchanting atmosphere evokes the essence of the white villages (pueblos blancos) of southern Spain, adorned with traditional blue-painted flower pots that rest on its whitewashed walls. As a favored destination for photography, this street tends to become quite crowded during the peak months, necessitating a degree of patience to secure a photo free from any unintentional intruders in the background.
Murallas del Castillo
It only requires a three-minute walk from Calle Carmen to reach the Murallas del Castillo, the last remnants of the ancient Moorish Castle erected in the 11th century. This castle was built using materials sourced from previous Roman buildings, and although there is not much to observe within the walls at present, it remains a worthwhile destination. The ruins are easily visible from the square where the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación is situated.

The French restaurant is a part of the Casanis Group that includes La Plage Casanis and Mamzel, among others, is another excellent dining option. Casanis Bistrot boasts an incredibly romantic atmosphere, delectable cuisine, and a wide range of cocktails to choose from.
Afuego
Located beside the hall of the Hotel El Castillo. The Restaurant Afuego is known for its exquisite attention to detail, with everything crafted to perfection. During the summer evenings, the restaurant’s terrace becomes the go-to spot for those looking to savor a delicious meal under the stars. The food served here is fantastically flavorful, making for a memorable dining experience. This restaurant is one of our favourites in Marbella Old Town.
La Tienda Casa Curro
This gem offers a distinctive gastronomic experience, showcasing a creative array of Spanish and international tapas dishes crafted with the finest ingredients. La Tienda Casa Curro is renowned not only for its delectable fare but also for its extensive wine cellar and thoughtfully curated cheese selection. Niña del Pisto
If you’re in the mood for some traditional cuisine, make your way to the bustling Taberna La Niña del Pisto. We love Entre Limones. A lovely little restaurant with a small menu. This is truly a hidden gem. The food and service at this restaurant are really fantastic.
The Farm
The Farm is a popular restaurant known for its trendy atmosphere where patrons are not only permitted but encouraged to join in the dancing if the mood strikes them.
Restaurante Garnacha
This unique restaurant is an art lover’s paradise, featuring various artworks adorning its walls, and the presentation of the dishes themselves is akin to a work of art. In addition to the à la carte menu, Garnacha offers a degustation menu that pairs perfectly with their selection of custom wines. It’s definitely worth a visit!
Skina
Nestled a few minutes walking from the Old Town lies the jewel box of a dining room, Restaurante Skina, boasting two Michelin stars. Though the tasting menu may be a bit of a splurge, starting at 294 Euros per person, it’s a commitment worth making as you’ll need a few hours to indulge in the full experience.

Looking for a cosy spot to enjoy a nightcap before calling it a night? Check out Taberna Casa Curro, tucked away in one of the narrow streets behind Orange Plaza. This hidden gem it’s a favourite among both locals and tourists alike, making for a lively atmosphere.
During the summer, it’s also highly recommended to grab a drink at Afuego and enjoy the rooftop terrace under the stars, boasting a breathtaking view of the entire city of Marbella. It’s the perfect spot to savor a drink and create unforgettable memories.

Parking
Getting to Marbella Old Town is easy, and the most convenient way is by car. There are several parking garages located around the area, such as Indigo – Avda del Mar. Parking here will cost you €1,55 per hour.Make sure you park the car properly in the parking space, otherwise you will pay twice the price when you leave the parking garage.
